 Kat Drewicz, MS

I have a wellness based approach to therapy that highlights self-care, self-compassion, and positive self-talk.  I care deeply about ensuring a collaborative and person-centered space, because I understand having a safe, nurturing, and nonjudgmental environment is vital to vulnerability and healing.  I value trauma-informed, strengths-based, and individualized care, because each person has their own narrative to tell.

I believe that genuineness is key to the therapeutic relationship.  Therefore, I intertwine my personality with my work with clients.  I use mindfulness based CBT interventions that explore and identify core values.  I also incorporate feminist theory, choice theory, and acceptance and commitment therapy in our work together.

My view of therapy highlights multiculturalism and the systemic structures that affect each person's life.  I understand that every client has a different lived experience.  I aim to empower and advocate for all clients, because each client deserves to be heard, validated, and appreciated.
