Meet LISA

Lisa Solis, B.A.

Lisa believes wholeheartedly in the institution of marriage and the shelter it provides to couples and families. Couples enter into marriage with optimism and dreams for the life they wish to create together. Often, the effort that goes into that life has placed demands on the couple that cause conflict and strife and they begin turning away from each other instead of turning toward each other. Most couples, through no fault of their own, are unprepared to deal with these issues, as they have never been taught how to approach problems in way that fosters compassion instead of criticism, and listening and understanding rather than defensiveness.

Recently the COVID 19 Pandemic has has exacerbated the issues even the best couples encounter. For some couples the pandemic created problems they have not faced in the past such as Income loss, living in close quarters 24/7, the inability to be social, possible political differences, and even grieving the loss of a loved one. These challenges have compounded  the pressure and tempers and frustrations may be running high.  Lisa guides her clients through the process of understanding the issues in their marriage and beginning to build a sound relationship in which trust, commitment, fondness, admiration and shared meaning can allow couples to embark on a future with a renewed sense of connection and a positive perspective of their future as a couple. As a team they embark on this journey together.

Lisa Solis, B.A, is a Nationally Certified Relationship Coach trained with the Gottman Instititute. She utilizes the research of Jon and Julie Gottman in her work with couples to explore where they are and where they desire to be in their relationships.

Lisa is available for virtual sessions.
