I work with individuals, couples and families. I treat clients aged adolescent, teen, young adult and adult. I specialize in working with clients who have experienced post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and complex and/or developmental trauma. I utilize various modalities in my work, including body work (such as yoga) and elements of art therapy.
I understand that the idea of developing self compassion can feel really difficult. When life feels overwhelming and out of our control, we tend to shut down and become numb until an experience brings everything to the surface and we overreact. We guilt ourselves and/or blame others and we can get stuck in this cycle. This pattern keeps us from believing we can safely experience our own emotions and leaves us unable to tolerate the emotions of others.
I am passionate in honoring the privilege to share space with each person I engage in this work with, and I look forward to supporting each and every one of my clients.
