Cindy is an experienced therapist and who comes alongside and offers support and perspective to her clients while they process through changes and difficult seasons of life. She believes no one should have to navigate the challenges of life alone. Her approach is eclectic, pulling from a variety of therapy modalities to meet the individual needs of the client. She enjoys working with people struggling with mental health issues such as anxiety, ADHD, and depression as well as people looking for healing from trauma or processing grief. She works with the client as they navigate difficult seasons such as a relationship ending, family stress, loss of job, injury, move, or one of the many other curve-balls life can throw at you. She is empathetic and will not pass judgement but rather will discuss what is getting in the way of your progress or peace.

Cindy also has a special interest in student athletes who have suffered concussions or other season-ending injuries. This type of life event can really have a negative impact on a young person as they struggle to find their way through recovery. So much of their confidence and identity can be wrapped up in their participation in sports. They also may lose social connections and feel isolated during this time. The emotional impact can lead to more serious mental health struggles such as depression, anxiety and substance use. Cindy is able to use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) skills with clients to regulate negative feelings. Together, Cindy and her client can explore the issues that resulted from the concussion and create a plan for tending to all the emotional and mental needs that arise.

Prior to being an LPC, Cindy was a High School Counselor and Softball Coach. She carries that youthful spirit into all her client sessions believing that at any age you have the potential to explore your inner self and grow, change, and find healing.
