How Do WE Help Teens?

Our Integrative Approach To Teens

At Welsh Therapy we understand that teens are unique in their needs. We also believe that adolescents, teens and young adults have their best chance of healing when their parents/caregivers are involved in the healing process. To that end we have developed a collaborative program, observing HIPPA compliance, in order to provide the most support possible to teens. We will build a team for your adolescent which may include:

  • A Therapist or Coach for you AND your child (and siblings if needed):  You and your child will have access to either a coach or counselor  to help find ways to work through and cope with any issues of anxiety,  stress, depression, or oppositional behaviors.
  • Educational Coaching and Therapy:   We offer virtual or in-person tutoring on all subjects and  Executive Functioning and Organization help with virtual schooling and  returning to school in person. We work with any deficits which may have  developed during virtual schooling.
  • Equestrian Therapeutic Support:   Equestrian activities such as horseback riding and grooming horses can be very therapeutic and a self confidence builder for adolescents.  Oftentimes, sitting on a horse brings calm to an anxious child/teen.  Clients who are feeling lonely and isolated socially can benefit from feeling connected to the horse.
  • Psychiatric Support:  When parents request a psychiatric assessment, we have a team of  psychiatrists we refer to who we collaborate with on behalf of the  client. We work with the doctor when medication is requested, focusing  on the symptoms the client is experiencing that may be able to be helped  with medication. That includes what they do, how long they’ve been at it, and what got them to where they are.

Doylestown Teen & Parent Therapy Center

We have developed a therapeutic program to specifically meet the needs of adolescents, teens, young adults and their families.
