Anita works with women and moms who are in transition. I work with empty nest syndrome and the difficult feelings that arise when we drop our kids at college and drive away with feelings of loss. Only to arrive home to an empty bedroom and begin to face the reality that our child no longer lives at home. I also work with women who are in narcissistic relationships, some of them are not yet aware that their partners have these issues. We can begin to reflect on the relationships and learn methods to calm and contextualize the tumultuous environment. I also work with moms who need support with their teenagers, and to help them navigate all of the exposure and stress they are under in this day and age.

Anita earned her Ph.D. from Rutgers. She is an advocate for the development of health policies that support women and children, especially of maternal and child health. Anita is the Co-Founder of Smile Bangladesh, a non-profit that provided free surgeries to children who had a cleft palate and served as the program's Executive Director for five years. Anita is available for virtual Telehealth sessions.
A note from Anita: I believe the relationship between the therapist and the client is a partnership. It's about working with the client to help them navigate through the difficult transitional stages in their lives. I provide a safe and non-judgmental space for open and honest communication.
